The Book Survey (with questions I've added)

You're stuck inside Farenheit 451. What book do you want to be?
If I can't be Fahrenheit 451 inside Fahrenheit 451, my next choice would have to be In the Country of Last Things by Paul Auster. If only because I can imagine myself as the object hunter Anna Blume, zeroing in on "salvageable islands of intactness" among things and worlds that are falling apart.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
As a kid, I had a crush on Calvin O'Keefe from the Madeleine L'Engle books. Sweet, bumbling guy, with hidden reserves of strength and a gift for language.

The last books you bought are...
1. The New York Trilogy, Paul Auster
2. Faulty Electric Wiring, Ruel S. De Vera.
3. The Voice at 3:00 A.M., Charles Simic
4. Dig Safe, Stuart Dischell

Five books you would take to a deserted island:
1. Eating Fire, Margaret Atwood
2. Dandelion Wine, Ray Bradbury
3. The Norton Book of Modern and Contemporary Poetry Volumes 1 & 2
4. Poems, Poets, Poetry, Helen Vendler
5. Collected Fictions, Jorge Luis Borges

What are you currently reading?
1. Sensual Math, Alice Fulton
2. Travels, M. S. Merwin
3. The New York Trilogy, Paul Auster
4. In the City, Colette Brooks
5. How to Write and Sell Magazine Articles
6. Creating Another Self: Voice in Modern American Personal Poetry, Samuel Maio

Who are you going to pass this stick to and why?
Whoever wants to do it. Since lots of bloggers have already done this, I wouldn't mind reading the answers of these others:
1. Jeline, because her answers will be well thought-out and explained.
2. Allan, because I'm always curious about what he's currently reading.
3. Maita, because she'll rave about political books by people I've never read.
4. Larry, because remembering what you love could open the floodgates again.
5. Jo, because I wonder if she still has time to read.
6. EJ, because he has time to read.
7. Joel, because I want to know what he reads when he's sober.
8. Egay, because his cubicle is always bursting with books.
9. Yol, because I miss his funny blog updates.
10. Vince, because I wonder how many books he's kissed.

* THE ADDITIONS:

Three books I (re)read in a hidden cove at Puerto Galera last week:
1. Rapture, Susan Mitchell

1. Dandelion Wine, Ray Bradbury
